Shobhit Dixit was born in New Delhi, India. His father served as an Indian Diplomat, taking him across the world throughout his childhood. Shobhit is a graduate from NYU in with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and Masters in Computer Science. He worked in investment banking after his graduation from New York, and later worked for many years in Out of Home Advertising. He takes deep interest in analytical assessment of political, social, and technology issues and has written extensively about them. However his first major book, "That Didn't Work Out", is a comprehensive look on the effects of Demonetization on the Indian society. Shobhit lives in New Delhi with his wife and son.
This book is an attempt to look at every argument that is raised around demonetisation from an impartial standpoint, and figure out the gravity of the effect demonetisation has had, and will continue to have on India. The book is organised in the form of chapters specifically dedicated to the arguments made by politicians, journalists, economists and experts, political party supporters & people.
