Gladys Mezrahi was educated at The English School in Bogotá, Colombia and University of Miami, in Miami, Florida, where she studied International Finance and Marketing. Her career started at a very young age in Colombia when she founded a top-line skin and body products manufacturing company called Advanced Cosmetics. Gladys oversaw this successful business for 15 years, and then sold it to an international skincare corporation. As part of her belief in ‘giving back’ to her community, Gladys helped several non-profit organizations such as Jafco, Wizo, Nawbo, Owit among others to raise funds through unique events, as well as serving on the Directors Council of her children’s school, Colegio Nueva Granada where she created several programs dedicated to helping teenagers remain drug-free.

Following the sale of her cosmetic firm, she became the Private Investment Manager for Pioneer International, an international investment company. Going above and beyond her responsibilities, Gladys created and coordinated seminars and corporate events for members of the financial industry. It was at this point she realized her passion and talent for her successful “Marketing Through Events” concept, and soon began a new company, G & G Events, eventually becoming Indigo Events as she made her office as well as her home into Aventura, since1999.

Today, Gladys is President/CEO of Indigo Events, an international events company with clients such as Visa, The Related Group of Florida, The Museum of Modern Art in Colombia, H & M Developers, Florida Grand Opera, Avianca, Fortune International, El Tiempo, Organization of America States - OEA, Miami International Book Fair, Disney Institute and Komatsu International among others. Co-founder of the B2E educational seminar program, and founder of The Power of the Heels Foundation that empowers and mentors’ young girls and women as well as connecting them to create a financial force.

“Giving back” is still part of Gladys’ dedication to her community in which she lives and works. She is a former member of the Leadership Forum of the prestigious Commonwealth Institute. She served as Chairman of Women's International Zionist Organization - WIZO-Yonit and is Past President of the National Association of Women Business Owners NAWBO as well as one of the original board member of Focus Miami. Gladys is a former Vice-Mayor for the City of Aventura, and an active member of the Chairman’s Roundtable of the Aventura Marketing Council, and a mentor for Women of Tomorrow. She has mentored several young girls as well as creating events that have raised over $5 million to benefit children in need. During the pandemic she was the founder of the Aventura Chapter of Pandemic of Love, a worldwide movement to help those in need.

Gladys has been featured in The Miami Herald and was recognized as one of the 2016 International Business Women of the Year by the Organization of Women in Trade and Event Marketing of the Year, as well as being awarded a Proclamation in the Florida Senate. She is an award-winning author of “More Wow and Less Oops”

Through all the awards and recognitions, Gladys considers her greatest accomplishment to be raising two wonderful children, Debbie and Nessim and 5 wonderful grandchildren with her husband Samuel of more than 40 years.

I've known Gladys for over a decade and I can confidently say that event expertise is at the top of the pyramid. When Gladys speaks, people listen. Her new book is a "must-read" for anyone in events, or for anyone wishing to start a career in events. Gladys' credentials speak for themselves.
