Joshua Clark began writing in his teens, inspired by imaginative stories in books, television, and games that delved into supernatural wonders and espionage thrillers. He drafted and personally revised the dystopian trilogy Outpost Seven as part of his development, however cryptic coincidences compelled him to move onward after publishing the series to Smashwords in 2013. In 2015, inspiration and creativity sparked with a new short story surrounding a starship intelligence asset and her crew of sailors in deep space. Joshua developed the characters and built the world of a gritty and unforgiving future, and sought the advice of multiple professional editors along the way. In May 2023, Joshua officially published Verses of the Void, in dedication to a fallen bandmate, via Amazon KDP. Verses of the Void explores the lives and founds the future of soldiers and civilians on both Earth and fledgling Martian colonies as nature battles science and famine stirs a merciless revolution. Future entries in the series can be expected in 2024 and 2025.
The outpost's last encounter left them missing heroes and a safe haven. Faced with a deadly nemesis off the coast and the zombie-stricken mainland at their back, there appears no place to run. The outpost is tasked to fight back, not doing it for home any longer but simply to see the sun rise another day.
Following the events of Genesis, the survivors of Outpost Seven struggle through enduring odds. The choices and sacrifices they make hoping to lead them to providence only serve to enlighten them of the true horror lying beyond the gates.
In the wake of a rampant undead outbreak, a retired sniper leads survivors to a haven in the forest. But within months of the epidemic, the survivors learn that the zombies are not their greatest threat.
