Lucas Dietsche

Biography

Lucas Alan Dietsche (pronounced Dee-Chee) was born in Appleton, Wisconsin in 1981 and has lived in Superior and Lamartine, Wisconsin for most of his life. He recently published a collection of radical poetry called “Word Out” and received the Editor’s Choice Award from the International Society of Poetry in 2008; as well as wrote for a number of newspapers and journals, and zines. He has been involved with a number of pro-peace and working-people issues. Dietsche mostly likes the music of Dean Reed, Roy Orbison, and the Pet Shop Boys; his favorite poet is Mina Loy. At the time of publication, Dietsche is working part-time at a cheese factory.
