Michelle Bultman grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. As a child, she went fishing, walked barefoot during the summer months, and discovered nature. Times have changed since Michelle's childhood, and children today are not as free to enjoy and discover the world around them. The characters that Michelle writes about will introduce to children the importance of family and nature and how learning from them can be fun and adventurous.
This is a great book about a young boy by the name of Byron who ventures to go gator hunting on the bayou with his Paw and his Uncle Jean. It has many great illustrations of the bayou and the big gator catch that he shares with his trusty dog and his little brother. It's a great short book for children.
