I started writing when I was around seven years old, however I did not write full length novels until my early 20's. My earliest pieces of work when I started writing stories (again, at 7 yo) were apparently upsetting to my parents, so they refused to let me write/type up my stories.

I just start writing. Sometimes it's a small idea I smart with, other times it's an inner drive that I MUST adhere to and cannot be denied. Once it begins, I write several pages/chapters and then take a breather to review what has begun and where it must go. It's not always consistent, sometimes the road suddenly becomes clear as the summer sky while others I find myself sinking in the mud. Those muddy moments where I'm being terribly suffocated I put those stories on the backburner. I always return as it must always be a matter of timing, I find.
