Born in Chicago and raised in the suburbs of Calumet City, ever since she was a little girl reading Dr. Seuss, John Green novels, and the Vampire Academy series (along with many other books), Mizani Brooks has always had a passion and a dream to be an author and publish her own books. After receiving her high school diploma, her Bachelor's degree in English at Governors State University, and working at a few jobs, those dreams are finally coming true with Falling for a Beta being her first novel.
