Biography
Indy Lindsey was born in Louisiana, raised in Mississippi, resided in Ohio, then moved back to Louisiana to settle down; that is until life as she knew it was turned upside down by Hurricane Katrina. That storm became a pivotal moment in her life because the comfort zone that she became accustomed to was no more. She decided to make Atlanta, Georgia her new home and was determined to adapt to the new environment and make a better life for her family regardless to how many hurdles she would have to jump.
As a youth, Indy loved writing and had inspirations of becoming a writer one day; however, a tumultuous life overshadowed those dreams. It became an everyday struggle trying to figure out the right path to take. A divorced single mother eventually realized her purpose while one day joking with her sons. Her passion for writing, which had become a faded memory, manifested itself. She began her quest by creating material that was indicative of the many struggles she had faced. Overcoming adversity is not biased to gender, race, nationality, or status and she wanted to construct relatable material by taking the demonstrative approach. Indy is full of passion, and it is displayed throughout her book. Her hope is to change lives of those that have been faced with the same challenges. This is not the last you will hear about Indy Lindsey. She's just getting started!
