This was my first Jerry McKinney story and I LOVED IT!! It is a short read but kept me captivated from the first word to the last. The story moved quick and covered alot without being too rushed. I cant wait to read more by Jerry!

This one had me from the first words! Jerry McKinney is becoming one of my favorites! He is able to write great characters and a great plot in 20+ pages. He captivates me and holds me in his story and I can see clearly the images as they happen. I felt so sad for the Priest and the Nun and their fight to stay a step ahead of doom. Great job Mr. McKinney! I cant wait to read more!

This may be my favorite Jerry McKinney story. I loved his description of the love between two brothers and how the little brother idolized his older brother. I felt the emotions as Mr. McKinney told me how a family is torn apart by loss and grief. I saw the horror and felt the conflict that Spud had to go through and would have to live with the rest of his life. This book is perfectly named. Another GREAT story by Jerry McKinney!
  • Death Bonds on March 05, 2012

This story sent chills up my spine!! Mr. McKinney's descriptions of the twins was enough to give me a shiver! A young couple looking to start "fresh" has stepped into a nightmare. Mr. McKinney's images come through clearly and his characters are very well written. I have definately become a HUGE fan!

The secrets that a small town can hide... Mr. McKinney has written a very different kind of werewolf story. The focus not being on the werewolf so much, but what is best for the town regardless of cost. The ending gave me a shiver as the image was so clearly shown. An awesome read!

Zombies are a common everyday thing now. They are kept in line by a group of "geek" kids who have mastered the art of keeping their portion of the neighborhood safe. The characters where well written and I loved the story. It moved along without being to fast or to slow and the action kept me glued to the story. It was a short read and oh so worth it! This was my first story by Lori Lopez and i have already purchased more!

Ahhh... The scent of a woman.... It can kill you! Literally! When a beautiful woman moves in next door, she is all Stu can think of. Her sent. Her eyes. Her being. The apartment handyman is captivated to the point of no return. Jerry McKinney has once again written a great story with great characters. A great read!!
  • Takers on March 18, 2012

I have finished Takers...and WOW!! It is STILL giving me shivers! Jerry McKinney does an outstanding job of painting a vivid picture of a loving family out for a day at the beach. In a matter of moments, their world is ripped out from under them. This is a definately a great read! I, however, may not be going to the beach any time soon! Thanks Mr. McKinney!!

An incredibly emotional tale of a young boy having to make life and death decisions. This book grabs you from the very beginning and doesnt let you go! I fell for Jessie from the very beginning and his struggle was heartbreaking. I am a huge fan of Jerry McKinney's writting and this one did not disappoint!! I HIGHLY recommend this story as well as any other of Mr. McKinney's brilliant writting.
