Following a portfolio career that included working in Iceland, several years as a motor vehicle technician, obtaining a post graduate diploma in management from the University of Hertfordshire, many years in management within the public sector and in parallel to his day job, thirteen years serving with the Royal Naval Reserve at home and abroad and in several ships.
