Sandra Fergins

Sandra A. Fergins, began her college career at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri. She only was there for one year before her dad, who was in the Air Force received orders to transfer to San Antonio, Texas. Her dad, Howard Shelf, was a real estate trailblazer for many future realtors in San Antonio and still is the active broker of his own company at the age of 89. Her mom, Angeline Shelf, is a retired interior designer.
Upon arriving in San Antonio, Sandra later transferred and graduated from Texas State University. She taught at Carl Schurz Elementary in New Braunfels, Texas from 1974-76. She later moved to Austin, Texas and worked as an administrative assistant for two years. In 1978 Sandra began her career at Menchaca Elementary School in Austin as a music specialist for grades K through 5. She taught at Menchaca for 19 years.
Sandra’s husband, Michael Fergins, began working as a new home sales counselor in Universal City, Texas. In 1995 Sandra and Michael got their real estate licenses. Michael Fergins is currently the real estate broker of Fergins & Associates Realty. Sandra began working on her Master’s degree in elementary education and reading when they moved to Universal City. Sandra later began teaching at Fort Sam Houston Elementary in 1998 and taught there as an elementary music teacher for twenty-one years.
