Biography

Shannon J. Curtin is a poet, essayist, humor writer, and novelist whose work has been featured in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Reader's Digest, Scary Mommy, Points in Case, AARP, and other publications. She is the author of three poetry books, including Things Hard & Lovely from ELJ Publications.

Shannon is a former competitive shooter and assistant coach, and an inaugural inductee of the North East Pennsylvania Rifle League hall of fame. A PA girl at heart, Shannon lives in Suffolk, Virginia with her husband and two children where she works in the communications field. She holds an MBA, competitive shooting records, and her liquor.
