Kenyata Garner

Kenyata Garner is a free style artist, born in Seattle WA 1986. Her limitless talents range from spoken word poetry to her percussion skills. She is the Oldest of Four siblings whom she was raised with and the Second oldest of 9 siblings on her Biological father’s side. One of the things she remembers most during her travels across the country as a young military child is her passion and desire to simply create. To create stories, music poetry, art. One memory she specifically remembers is her last year in Manheim Germany where she attended DODs schools, her fifth grade teacher Mr. Fitzgerald after hearing some of her short stories gave her a very profound message. “One day, you will be a great writer.” Even as a young adult she has mastered her abilities and crafts in art. Winning several young author awards and certificates, she was also the editor of her High school Newspaper at Will Rogers High School. During her college years at Northeastern State University she attended several Open mic nights and poetry nights where she performed. She now lives in Chicago IL, in further pursuit of her dreams and goals.
