Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in one of the most gorgeous and diverse places in the world, British Columbia. I was born in Cloverdale, a farm town with a few residential homes were I resided for my first few years on this earth; however, I've spent most of my life in Langley which is a mix of forestry, farmland, city, and historical locations. BC is very diverse in people which has helped my writing because I've witnessed how so many different types of people act. Interacting and living amongst such great diversity has given me the knowledge and understanding of peoples motives and thought patterns which has helped give my characters more depth and realness.
What is your dream life?
I wish to be a highly acclaimed writer, comedian, actor, entrepreneur, amusement park/zoo owner. I want to write not only books but also screenplays and scripts for movies and television. I would love to star in those scripts and also co-direct in the making of the film just so everything is accurate with my original vision. My main purpose of my dream is to entertain people which comedy I find is one remotely easy way to do that. I want to travel around to gigs and make people laugh because I feel that is one of the greatest most uplifting feelings one can receive. I also want to be a songwriter because I have an intense connection with music and the power it has over situations. I sometimes picture music that would fit with the scene while I'm writing and it helps the scene escalate it's emotion. In my head I have designed the perfect amusement park/zoo that I would love to one day make a reality.
