Chris Sullivan was born in Manchester, England, to alcoholic parents, grew up in various children's homes, and eventually vowed to help anyone caught up in addiction after he himself succumbed to the same fate. For many years he struggled with various addictions until he quit them all instantly and permanently without suffering terrible withdrawal symptoms or cravings. His first book, "The Joy of Quitting Cannabis," was translated into Dutch and Danish languages and sells in more than 40 countries around the world. To date the book has helped thousands of people to quit cannabis without using willpower or feeling tempted and vulnerable in social situations. In 2012/2013, he wrote The Little Book of Quitting Caffeine and several other new titles that will be released via E&C Publishing in the near future.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Sheer laziness. Maybe one day the publishing companies will come to find me where I always am on my couch at home.
This book provides an easy and even enjoyable way to deal with caffeine addiction without harping on about how unhealthy and harmful it might be. Instead The Joy of Quitting Caffeine takes the opposite tact by actually discussing the assumed 'advantages' of caffeine and expertly removes all desire and dependency as you read along.
This book is entitled ‘The Joy of Quitting Cannabis: Freedom From Marijuana’ for a very special reason. The dictionary defines ‘joy’ as: ‘A feeling of great happiness and pleasure’. Within the context of this book it means you can ditch marijuana easily and permanently without even needing willpower!
