I am always fascinated by cultures that hold restrictions on intellectual growth and personal contribution based on gender and economic standing. Where do these cultural beliefs originate from and how long will these oppressive institutions last? I appreciated that this book was written in Hiranya Borah's own voice. I thank Hiranya Borah, for this insightful book. A salute to him and his mother for their courage. Many good thoughts and good feeling to them on their journey.
