Jamie Busby

Biography

I am a 38 year old little boy from Birmingham, UK, now living in Stratford-on-Avon, the birthplace of another half-decent bard as it happens. After a stint in Rehab for alcohol & prescription drug addiction in 2002, I began writing as a form of therapy. It appears to have worked as I have remained extremely sober & deliriously happy ever since.

For my writing, I tend to draw on my childhood experiences & thoughts from the time, those distant magical memories of something that you'll never forget. This has led to my work forming out of a simple, childlike premise, but building into a story suitable for all ages, from 7 to 107+. In all honesty, when I begin writing, I never quite know where it's going to take me, but I have come to the conclusion that that's a good thing.

Nowadays, I write purely for personal enjoyment & fulfillment but after the feedback I have received, I thought it terribly selfish to deny the masses of my work & Kindle/Amazon/Smashwords et al have provided the perfect platform to reach you all.

I am currently beginning work on a follow-up title & will continue to create a series of 'Madison' books for both children & adults to enjoy. That is my dream anyway & I'v found dreams can take you a long way if you follow them.
