Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I first started writing when I was 7 years old. My first story was about two members of the cleaning crew at my school who I coined "Toast" and "Toasterita". Reading it now as a young adult, I realize how much I have changed. The story about Toast and his adventures in a foreign land is actually quite cute. :)
What's the story behind your latest book?
I went to Seattle, Washington, for a vacation and fell in love with the city. I wanted to write a story which involves this great city, and a few months later, I published Some Fiction. I based my main characters off of people I wanted to be my friends, but I quickly realized these characters were insecure and acted the way I felt. Everyone is insecure, and this novel (though a bit overkill with all of the fiction involved haha) conveys my wish for romance, disease, travel, and most importantly friendship.
