Corey J. Barnes is one of urban fictions up and coming authors.
Having an intense love of reading, Corey began reading almost all the time at an early age. One of his lifelong goals was to write a novel of his own at some point one day. Daydreams about faraway places and an imagination that was as vivid as a picture gave him the final push needed to go officially become an author.
Corey’s debut novel, What Is This Love Thing All About? was released on October 2009, has been the featured selection on many book clubs across America during the past year. His second novel, Single For The Night, scheduled for release this October 2010, has been getting advanced acclaim and has been eagerly anticipated by all. Corey continues to write to bring back chivalry and romance in the genre of urban fiction, allowing women to remember the times when men were men and actually pursued women with dignity, respect, and grace. He writes to demonstrate that there are good hard working men that take care of business and struggle. More importantly, that we all have to go through things to obtain something that should be so simple…Love.
Corey has toured extensively across America as he looks to establish himself in the literary genre, specifically at the following events:

In addition to his numerous online radio appearances, Corey has been featured in the Lakel and Ledger, SouthernSocialite.com, OOSA.com, and UrbanLiteraryGroup.com. Corey was born in Lakeland, FL. He is a lifelong resident and currently resides there while he works on his next book.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of South Florida, and Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University. He is currently working on his Doctorate degree in Adult Education and Instructional Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and also plans to launch a blog talk radio show in the Fall of 2010 called the Conversation Café that will discuss life, love, and relationships on a weekly basis
