Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
We moved a lot when I was a kid, and my husband and I have moved a lot, also. This means I was able to experience many different states, rather than living in one place all my life. So, I'm not afraid to use different settings in my books.
When did you first start writing?
My first story was written when I was in first grade. Another little girl had written a story instead of doing her spelling assignment, and the teacher praised her effort. I immediately said I wanted to write a story too, but the teacher told me I couldn't. Undaunted, I did write a story...but I also did my spelling.
