Fiona Woodhead

Biography

Fiona Woodhead aka as the Slug Lady (hopefully in regards to what she writes and not how she looks!). Fiona stumbled into writing and illustrating children picture books when one day she randomly decided to write and illustrate a story about three slimy slugs for her Dad (a slightly eccentric father of four whose favourite bedtime stories to his children were always about yucky slugs and bugs) as a Christmas present in 2012. Since then the once-upon-a-slime books have multiplied into a series of books to encourage little people out into the garden to bug hunt and explore. Fiona has really enjoyed writing ‘Once-upon-a-TOXIC-Slime’, the first story she has written aimed at older children, however her two small people aged 3 and 6 were more scared of this spooky slime story than her normal children’s books!
