Fran Adams and her family have been travelling abroad on two wheels for more than thirty years, and their adventures have ranged from getting shipwrecked in a mountain torrent to straying on to a Spanish motorway, along with one or two painful road accidents and of course. This is a collection of fond memories of Fran's cycling adventures.
They found themselves having to deal with torrential rain and furious gales, frequent punctures and mechanical hitches and encounters with eccentrics from both sides of the English Channel, but in the end their tight budget did not stop them having the holiday of a lifetime and collecting some never-to-be-forgotten memories. Travels on the Breadline is Fran’s memoir of happy holidays.
