No, I’m not one of those writers who just loved writing since I could hold a pencil – but I loved stories for as long as I can remember.
I took to Math and Science much easier than to the Language Arts. I suspect I had a learning disability because I never picked up reading as quickly as my classmates, but I believe I spent more time at the library and had my nose in a book more than many of them (of course, that could be because I read slow, HA!). To this day, I read slower than those around me, including my children. Still, I loved and love stories.
