Gary Genard

Actor, author, and speech coach, Dr. Gary Genard is an expert in theater-based public speaking. He uses performance techniques to help executives, leadership teams, nonprofits, and governments worldwide develop stage presence to achieve true influence. He is the author of the best sellers How to Give a Speech and Fearless Speaking (named in 2019 as "One of the 100 Best Confidence Books of All Time"). His books also include Speaking Virtually and Speak for Leadership. His blog Speak for Success! covers topics ranging from leadership communication, overcoming stage fright, body language, voice improvement, and storytelling for maximum impact. Dr. Genard completed his acting training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and holds a Ph.D. in Theater from Tufts University in Massachusetts. He has served on the faculty at Harvard, Tufts, Boston College, Emerson College, and Simmons College.
