Biography
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
After working in various sales and marketing roles in the computer industry starting in the 1980s, I set up New Leadership Ltd in 1999, to enable me to concentrate on developing and teaching my distinctive approach to leadership.
Since setting up the company, I have worked as a retained trusted advisor with a variety of leaders in the private, public and civil society sectors; in organisations of varying size and type and age; in the UK, Europe, the USA and Rwanda.
I have a particular and long-standing interest in what can be learned in relation to personal effectiveness and leadership effectiveness from brain science (in particular how the three main areas of the brain work together), and mind science (in particular adult attachment patterns, types and behaviours).
Over the last 20 years, I have developed a particular expertise in helping leaders in an increasingly connected and complex world, to develop and sustain ‘hybrid’ approaches to personal effectiveness and leadership effectiveness (i.e. the healthy integration and synergy of digital and analogue tools and ways of working).
