Karren Garrity

Biography

In her private practice, Karren Garrity works with children, adolescents, individuals, and families. She has facilitated psycho-educational groups and taught emotional literacy to boys, girls, high school students, mothers, and daughters. Ms. Garrity leads workshops on parenting, conflict resolution, healthy choices, and adolescent orientation seminars for high school teachers, and mentors new therapists and counselors.

Karren J Garrity earned her BA from Sarah Lawrence College and her Master of Science in Counseling from Western Connecticut State University. In 1998, she became a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She lives in Kent, Connecticut, with her husband and their three daughters. She has served on the Board of Selectmen, and chaired the Kent Board of Education, the Kent Energy & Environmental Task Force, and the Kent Education & Learning Foundation.
