Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
Very young, Somewhere stored away there are a bunch of school journals filled with unfinished epics about magicians and quests and that sort of thing. I also remember writing a slightly disturbing thriller horror thing when I applied for a scholarship before starting high school. A lot of the very early stuff I wrote as a kid was more of a smooshing of comics and picture books, featuring such enduring characters as Penman, who had a magic pen that gave him mystical armour. I think Penman also had the power to shoot ink at you, and could possibly also fly, for some reason.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I think it was a superhero horror story, where a cowardly young fellow had discovered a sort of technological chicken suit that would make him braver and stronger when he wore it, and allow him to defeat some sort of zombie magician.
