    I love this story because it is Christian and feminist and romantic, and it literally made me laugh out loud in various places - and cry some tears too, I confess! I can't believe it was originally written over a hundred years ago. There were times it did get a bit overly preachy which might be a bit wearing for 21st century tastes. And I also struggled at times with the constant present tense. Other than that though, a great read, funny, and I loved the development of everything between the the two central characters, and the adorable supporting cast of younger siblings!
