Smashwords Interview

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I ever read was when I was in pre-school. I was reading at the age of 3. So when I entered preschool I was ahead of most children. I remember the cat in the hat by Dr. Suess was my favorite. I just always wanted to be a writer from that point on. My children grew up with the whole collection of Dr. Suess and other writers. I can read that story without the book.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
My favorite five books so far are as follows:
To Kill a Mockingbird Harper Lee : because it is a classic and I enjoy classics!
The art of racing in the rain Garth Stein : this book touched every part of my being.
The white Queen (all books) Philipa Gregory: I love a good story mixed in with real history.
The eyes of the dragon Stephen king : I enjoy the fact that an author can tell stories out of his genre.
The Narrows by my ultimate fav Michael Connelly: I love any Harry Bosch story. He is a real person to me.
