R H Clark

Biography

I'm glad to be a Texas boy who honors God, family, and country. I grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast and spent summers in the small town of Luling, TX where I taught to hunt and fish and learned stories about the Alamo.

I attended the University of Texas College of Pharmacy and practiced for 42 years before retiring in 2013 at which time I began writing my first book for publication.

In 1982 II had the great good fortune to marry the love of my life, Kitty who, surprise, I call Bear, and we have three children and six grandchildren. We have been blessed to have served on two short-term mission trips, to Bantoom, Thailand, and Cali, Columbia, and have traveled to London, Tokyo, and Paris. Our travels included visits to numerous U.S. states. We are back on the coast in Rockport, TX.

Smashwords Interview

What are your five favorite books, and why?
The five books I have read recently that I have enjoyed most are: The God Portal by Tim Ferguson, When Jesus Wept by Bodie and Brock Thoene, and the City of God trilogy by R.S. Ingermanson. All of these books were fictional dramas based upon the nature of Jesus and the response of His contemporaries to His preaching. Each of the five books opened a train of thought of my response to Jesus Christ and could I sacrifice as these characters did to follow the teachings of Jesus.
What do you read for pleasure?
I have varied taste in pleasure reading. I search diligently for books suitable for a Christian reader, mostly fiction and a small amount of pay-fi if it has biblical lessons as part of the story-line. I pass up any book that contains profanity or sexual content.
