Biography
Joni is the author of five novels for young readers, two clandestine picture books, and several nonfiction books for adults. Her fiction has been praised as a Junior Library Guild Selection, a Bank Street College of Education “Best Book,” a Cybils Award and Crystal Kite Award finalist, a Truman Award short-listed title, and a Henry Bergh Honor winner.
