Sierra Rose

Biography

I was born in 1974 in the Eastern Ohio Valley town of Martins Ferry where I lived until I was five then we moved to a very rural town in the same area. I’m the youngest of four children of a mill worker and a housewife but have 15 years between me and my closest sibling. I grew up with a vivid imagination, which seems to have become active at age four.
Having an imagination and a passion for reading, inventing little worlds and stories in my head seems natural. I began writing for fun mainly to survive reports I was making while being home schooled (illnesses kept me out so the school sent a teacher) and I wrote the most colorful but accurate history reports they’d seen. My passion for writing original pieces came at high school and I still have novels on paper to prove the start of this career.
I’m a 1993 graduate of Buckeye Local High School and still live in the same house I grew up in with my family of my mother and brother, plus three spoiled cats and a semi-fierce Beagle who likes to think he’s a Pit-Bull.
I still enjoy writing stories for fun that I can’t do anything with while I take a break from my original works. I mainly write action/adventure so my series of Celtic Evil, which is a paranormal romantic suspense series, is a slight break for me. I used to write poetry but can only do that in times of stress or deep emotional crisis.
I enjoy writing for the sake of telling a story. I write for myself and for others who enjoy the act of reading a good story. I hope to be able to tell many of those.

This is a no nonsense weight loss book! Brilliantly written, easy to follow plan to lose twenty pounds in ten weeks. If you're a serious looker of plans or guides to losing weight or just someone trying to keep it off then get this book. It's easy to follow with graphs, diagrams, menu suggestions and so much more. Best of all, you don't have to have any fancy equipment and it's worded very simply. I found it a wonderful addition and a huge help.
  • Boot Camp Fitness for All Shapes and Sizes on March 24, 2010

This book is honest, brisk and to the point about a great many things we face while trying to get fit in this day and age. Whether you're looking for a certain chapter on something or you go through the whole book, there is something in here for everyone and I found it refreshing that it was written in a plain way that will appeal to every reader. It doesn't sugar coat our needs while getting into shape or the causes. It's a hard dose of reality and a welcome one.

  • EyeLeash: A Blog Novel (teenage memoir) on May 23, 2010

Jess C. Scott's debut novel is more than outstanding. It proves that there could be a useful reason for blogging. It's certainly difficult to add to the reviews already given since they tell the wonders of his book far better than I good but... Eyelash tells the story of a seventeen year old girl coming into a difficult part of her life in a tech-world such as we live in today and much like any teenager she blogs. I found the way this story is told very interesting and not hard to follow as I feared it might be. Jade is a compelling character that I'm sure many girls her age will understand. It's a YA title that can be read by those older and still be well received and enjoyed. Brilliant work for this first time author!
