Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?

I grew up in Boston, which is the site of several scenes in Alibi.

When did you first start writing?

I started in 1982 but really concentrated on writing in 1989. I was inspired by the success of other lawyer authors such as Scott Turow, Barry Reed, and John Grisham.
