Terry Eguaoje, Ed.D.
Biography
Terry Eguaoje earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (in 2003) from Kennesaw State University, and a Master in Sport Management (in 2005) and a Doctorate in Education (in 2007), both from Nova Southeastern University. He holds the USSF "A" License, NSCAA Premier Diploma, USSF National Youth License, NSCAA National Youth Diploma, and the USSF Goalkeeper License. He is currently the Technical Director of Coaching for the Mississippi Soccer Association and an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University.
His long soccer playing career ended in success at Reinhardt College (GA) after wining the NAIA Regional Championship in 1999. As a Student Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Trainer, he helped Kennesaw State University win the 2003 NCAA Div II Women's National Championship. Terry served as the Director of Coaching for the Fusion Soccer Club in Houston, Texas (from 2003-2007), and also worked for the Texas Premier Girls Academy Program. During his time in Texas, he was a staff member for the South Texas Youth Soccer Association as a State Coaching Education Instructor, ODP scout, and Administrator.
Terry authored a book ("Bridging the Gender Gap", published in 2008 by Tate Publishing) that examines issues affecting female coaches and offers guidance to sports administrators to help them recruit and retain more female coaches.
