TENEA D. JOHNSON is the author of the novels R/evolution and Smoketown, as well as Starting Friction, a poetry and prose collection. Her work has appeared in various maga-zines and anthologies, including the Lambda Award-winning Necrologue. She is also a musician who composes fiction albums and has had the good fortune to perform her pieces at the Knitting Factory and the Public Theater, among others.
