Themba Umbalisi

Biography

Born from non-native stock, the author has always had a deep interest in African history. When researching his family tree, he was surprised to find his blood line was not as he expected.

However, he was fascinated to find the history of his ancestors did not always tally with the stories he had learned as a boy.

After a patchy education, the author entered a local university to gain a degree in history, which enabled him to translate his family documents and commit them to print. Now he is no longer living in Africa, although his interest remains deep. Perhaps one day he will write more of the history of that continent.
