Interview with Jonathan Timmons

When did you first start writing?
I barely remember my childhood...at least anything before the age of four. So, I'd have to say my first book, "Autism & Us: The Tale of Two Brothers" - unless you count when I learned how to write my name when I was two.
What's the story behind your latest book or series of books?
My brother has Autism. I want people to know what it's like and to learn how to treat people with Autism.
What motivated you to become a published author?
Seeing my mom write her first book. She's who motivated me!
What do your fans / followers mean to you?
It's really cool to see people supporting us. I'm grateful for them.
What are you working on next?
Titus and I are writing a series about all the different adventures we have. I tell my side - and he tells his!
Who are some of your favorite authors?
My mom, of course! Oh - and Lauren Tarshis.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Every day God gives me another day, I've got to get up and make it a good one!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your "free" time?
I love video games, playing football, and going to church.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote? If so, what was it titled?
The first story I can remember writing is "Autism & Us" with my brother, Titus.
