Interview with Enrique Miguel Tarazona

Published 2015-08-16.
What inspired you to become a writer?
I saw a paper and a pen, and a dog counting to ten. Who knows? A blank page is a powerful magnet, begging to be filled.
When did you first start writing?
It was probably in high school, started dabbling and wondering about infinite possibilities. But mostly, I had nothing to do, because all my teams sucked, except for the Islanders.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I suppose it may have something to do with expressing a connection with some source. Or, I just like spinning a tale.
What do your fans mean to you?
Fans? Oh, yes, the silent majority. They are great.
Who are your favorite authors?
I remember Gore Vidal saying he was not a big reader. If that was good enough for him, certainly it is good enough for me. But, I tend to favor the old guys, Victor Hugo, Jacob Boehme. Plus, good old Mario Puzo.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing, I spend my time communicating with aliens. They tell me all sorts of things, except when will the Mets win The World Series.

If you want to read about a possible acid trip, flirting with great historical names, turning into a story about an ancient land, with critiques about drones and the housing crisis, with magic, mystical symbols, a nod to the string theory, and, yes, the rolling stones, then, back to the acid trip, to read as Woody Guthrie kicks ass, and, questions about gravity, terrorism, and porn, get this book.
