Darlene Scott has the ability to take readers on great adventures through her thought provoking chronicles. Miss Scott has experience in various genres such as spirituality, self awareness, poetry, humor, and empowerment. She has over 30 years of paid employment and volunteer experience. Miss Scott has made an impact in her community by working with the substance abusers, homeless individuals, domestic violence victims, senior citizens, ex-offenders, veterans and at risk youths.
In 2014, Miss Scott debuted her first children’s book dedicated to raising awareness on child sexual assault and abductions, titled What a Nice Guy! As a survivor of a child sexual assault, Miss Scott decided to rip pages from her book of life in order to protect the innocence of children..
What a Nice Guy! The story was written by a child and adult perspective to impact every community. Miss Scott believes in order to break the generational curse of child sexual assaults, the community must come together and listen with their and eyes and observe with their heart. Miss Scott motto is No Strangers, No Secrets!
Miss Scott was born and raised in an improvised community in a section of New York City. Even though the Commonwealth was improvised the neighbors became extension of one another families, and the safety and welfare of every child were paramount. Her nurturing parents and the citizens in Miss Scott’s invisible gated community has inspired her, to impact the world with positive change.
