Kristi Burchfiel
Biography
Kristi Burchfiel never thought that the difficult times she found herself stuck in would result in a Bible study. As a young pastor’s wife in rural Oklahoma, Kristi found herself digging deep into the book of Ecclesiastes looking for answers to the questions that overwhelmed her life: How do I prioritize my life? What things should I focus on? What do I do when things don’t work out my way? How do I avoid having regrets later on? Kristi’s notes and questions formed themselves into the book “Without Regrets: A Study of Ecclesiastes.”
Now, Kristi is passionate about studying God's word and helping others to study, learn, and apply God's truth in their own lives. She currently writes daily devotionals on her blog and Facebook page, she is in the process of offering these devotionals along with book summaries as Ebooks in "The Daily Devotional Series", and has a second Bible Study, "The Decay Within: A Study of Amos" in production scheduled to be published early 2012.
Whether it’s serving as a pastor’s wife, working a full time job for Michaels Arts and Crafts, or chasing her 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son, Kristi has learned what it means to live focused on God. She works daily to put that knowledge into practice and invites others to share in the peace of God through the truths found in God’s word from her books and devotionals.
Kristi grew up in Valley Center, Kansas and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She has been married to her husband D Burchfiel for 13 years, and they have 2 children, Rebekah and Andrew. They currently make their home in Wichita, Kansas where D is the pastor of Southwest Baptist Church.
