Margaret Warbrick

Biography

Maggie grew up in New Zealand, has travelled the world with her career in public relations and marketing, and now resides in Stockholm, Sweden. Charlie, a characterfilled teddy bear about 20 cm tall, was given to Maggie as a farewell gift from her staff on leaving her role as CEO of Edelman Public Relations in Singapore. Since then Charlie 5 has been an influential family member, making friends and acquaintances all over the world, and charming people with his infectious personality. From an early age Maggie enjoyed writing poetry. One teacher in particular encouraged her to write more and it has always been a passion. The stories about Charlie were initially written to read to her children at bedtime. After much coaxing from family, Maggie shyly submitted a couple of manuscripts to see if a publisher may be interested. The title of the story selected by Austin Macauley to be published first seems very fitting to lead Maggie’s writing career, “Charlie takes the lead”. Dedications: Dedication and thanks: To all my family and friends who have encouraged
