When did you first start writing?
I developed the writing itch early on in high school, around my tenth grade year. Before then I had simply dabbled in elementary poetry, rhyming and stuff. By time I was a freshman in college, the dream of becoming a full-time writer had conceived secretly within me, but it would be another 15 years before I took my own dream seriously.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
There's really just more out there for the indie author than ever before. I'm more of a work alone type person than one who's brave enough to collaborate with others on ideas, especially my writing. That's personal and it takes a lot of "me time" to put together the writing I'm wiling to put out there for others to read. Besides, I'm not patient enough to wait for months at a time just to see if a traditional publisher will accept my work. I need the more immediate closure of one project before moving head-long into my next writing venture.
