Samuel Gonzalez, Jr.

Biography

Samuel Gonzalez, Jr., started his career as a punk rocker in Florida. When he was kicked out of his band on a Vans Warped Tour, he joined the U.S. Army to get new direction, and then he found himself on the front lines in Iraq. While there, he started a band to memorialize a friend, and that band went on tour of Army bases in Iraq. That story became the basis of "The Chords of War," which he worked on with author Christopher Meeks. You can see the book trailer at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXeWblmZq3s&t=10s
