Linn Tesli
Biography
Born in the gorgeous country of Norway, Linn Tesli has moved around quite a bit. She even spent three years studying film for a Bachelor degree in London, yet, as much as she loved England, she had to move back home eventually.
She took another Bch in children services a short while after returning to Oslo. The characters she creates in her work are heavily influenced by what she knows of child psychology and development, helping Linn decide how a character might evolve throughout his or her storyline.
In addition to being a mother, a wife, a sister, and a writer, Linn is a dreamer. She is also an overachiever, and a klutz. However, she takes her writing very seriously, and began at an early age. She also loves to draw (but was never really that good at it. Don't tell her).
Besides working with film, and with kids, she's also tried her hand as a freelance journalist. She's written both magazine articles, movie reviews, feature stories, and poems, which have been published in various newspapers and magazines in Norway.
As a child, making up stories was how she made her days brighter. She believes that it's an extraordinary thing to be able to dive into words to escape the reality one lives in. She has always enjoyed writing in one form or another, but when she finally decided on what her debut novel would be, there was no hesitation. It had to be epic fantasy. As much as she thought she knew what she was getting herself into, she really had no clue.
She draws a lot of inspiration from norse myth and folklore, and especially from the beautiful landscape that her native country Norway has to offer.
