Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
When I was a child, my family moved around a lot, so I have been to places across Europe and Turkey, where I experienced different cultures and met really eccentric people. Listening to their amazing stories, urged me to write them down. Then, I started creating stories that would entertain or scare people....
When did you first start writing?
At the age of 8 or 9, I would write short poems that rhymed. They were quite horrible, but I was encouraged to write more gibberish by my loved ones. That encouragement fueled me to be the writer I am today, but I also stopped writing poems.
