Biography
Reverend Tonya Jones’s professional work experience includes over 18 years in the healthcare industry. She holds a BS in Healthcare Management, BS in Theological Studies, and other theological certificates. Reverend Jones is currently working ministry full-time and is the Senior Pastor of Gods Word of Encouragement Ministry located in Blackwood NJ.
In 2007, Reverend Jones founded Encourage Press, LLC, a, Christian publishing company whose focus is assisting authors of Christ-centered works through the intricacies of self-publishing. In 2009 she founded the “Cares of the Widow Foundation”. A foundation dedicated to helping widows under the age of 55. Reverend Jones has also developed the Wheel of Hope which features a five point Personal and Spiritual growth model. Reverend Jones is the author of three books: “One Woman’s Journey to Fully Trust God" “where she shares much of her preparation for the call
God placed upon her life. Mrs. Jones begins by outlining some of the events that occurred in her life that helped her identify the issues she had with trust … the very stumbling block that kept her from trusting God fully. Her second book: And God Said “Trust Me” is a testimonial of how she survived her husband’s sickness and subsequent death in 2006.
and “Ministry Building Checklist” which outlines the process of establishing 501C3 and ministry fundamentals.
God has infused Reverend Jones with the power to bring His Word to those who have been “blind” and/or held captive far too long by thoughts and ways that are contrary to the Word of God. Operating in the gifts of Wisdom, Exhortation, and Prophesy she is steadfast in doing what God has called her to do. She is a songwriter, playwright, and author. Reverend Tonya Jones is the widow of Raynard T. Jones. Today, she is the single mother of three children; Reverend Jones resides in Blackwood New Jersey.
