A fourth generation descendent of Scandinavian pioneers to Iowa, Jeanne Irelan has sandwiched her writing into a busy life as a wife, mother of three boys, journalist, Arts Council Director, and more recently, college teacher and director of the Writing Center. Since the 1960s she had been a resident of Tennessee with a brief sojourn in Texas.
Along with her novels, she has published both poetry and short stories in literary journals and other publications. Her thriller, THE MOHO PROVISO, won recognition from the Offshore Oil Producers Association, who have stocked it in their Galveston museum gift shop.
