Folakemi Owodunni

Biography

Folakemi Owodunni is a Nigerian writer, aspiring non-profit leader, supporter of women's welfare and Christian. She has written for several publications on women's leadership including Ventures Africa Magazine, POIZE Magazine and several blogs. As part of the Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR) mentoring program, Folakemi initiated and coordinated the publishing of "Briefcases & Blenders: Every woman" guide to success in life and career" and she is the initiator of the Better Together devotional series for women.

When she is not writing, Folakemi loves to read, eat and spend time with her favorite people on earth--her family. She has a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Oregon and an M.Sc. in Global Health and Development from University College London, and has so far enjoyed working in both the private and non-profit sectors in Nigeria and the United States. She is working to combine her education, experiences and love for writing into an amazing career.
