Francene LaDue

Biography

Francene LaDue is the author of Crazy Heat, the brutal and very real, crime novel praised as “a gripping tale of killing and revenge.”

A communications professional with twenty years of Hollywood and Studio experience, Francene has helped to promote more than 100 films including High Fidelity, Sixth Sense, Ransom, Phenomenon, Armageddon, Enemy of The State, Gone In 60 Seconds, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and The Ladykillers, as well as movies featuring celebrities such as George Clooney, John Travolta, Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis, Denzel Washington, Johnny Deep, Geoffrey Rush, Ben Affleck, Will Smith, Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, and Josh Lucas.

Born and raised in California, she grew up the youngest of five sisters in a USMC Master Sergeant’s household. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, her short fiction has appeared in Clique Magazine and Apocalypse, and her one-act play Exclusively Human was employed in the Masters Program at the Sorbonne.

Swapping a film-focused career for a more literary focus, Francene took up residence in the old Pulitzer family mansion in the historic Old North End of Colorado Springs where she completed her first novel, Crazy Heat and has now begun the second book in the Bobby Egan series, Cactus Flower.
