How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords has helped me tremendously. Literary Agents are overwhelmed by books sent to them, so before Smashwords, the only way to get my books read was to self publish physical paper backs which I found very costly and unaffordable. The marketing of those physical paperbacks was even more expensive. This method was unsuccessful as I couldn't reach the reader. But Smashwords is an all in one, free of charge platform for unsigned Writers like me. It helps get my books out into the public domain via many retailers. I've been dreaming of this for years.
Describe your desk
I don't actually have a desk these days. I have cupboards, suitcases and folders full of paper, scraps of paper, torn envelopes and packets with all my work either scribbled across manically, or written out in full as one of many drafts. There are a lot of incomplete books within all that chaos and different parts of each book hide in different places amongst the mess. Sometimes I wonder how I'll ever piece them all together but each story is firmly fixed in my mind, so if I can't find the part I'm looking for, I'll hopefully be able to recall it from memory.
